Sell5.com was launched online on May 12th, 2003 with only one ad. Today there are hundreds of online classified ads with photos and thousands of viewers at sell5.com. Our goal was simple, we wanted to create a classifieds site that had useful products for sale and was easy to use. There are many classifieds sites out there, but most either lack usability or are not as free as Sell5.com. Online auctions present yet another problem. It is costly to ship large products and it is usually impractical to view the item in person across the county before placing your bid. Sell5.com is set up so that you can search for items from your own city, look at it in person and then take it home when you buy it.

Sell5.com has been in the making since 1999 when the creator purchased his first computer and the URL www.azautolink.com. His goal was to learn HTML and create a classifieds site with autos for Phoenix, AZ users that had an actual photo for each vehicle. Not many automobile classifieds sites in those days had actual photos of every vehicle. Bandwidth was not readily available like it is today and digital cameras were expensive.

Sell 5 has evolved since those early days. We now feature more than just cars and have classifieds categories for practically anything that you can sell online. We have many goals for the future and we are excited to make Sell 5 America's number one place for classifieds on the internet.
