Sell5.com was a dream that started in the late 1980’s. Every Saturday morning, Aaron Ponciano would get a cup of hot cocoa, sit and analyze his local newspaper classifieds in Eugene, Oregon. He would browse endlessly comparing prices of cars and learning all the different makes and models even though it would be many years before he was even old enough to drive a car of his own. It was this love for classifieds and cars at an early age that fueled his passion to plan and dream for over a decade the creation of his ultimate masterpiece, which would later be known as Sell5.com.
Aaron studied motion picture production and even worked in Hollywood for a stint. He was also the editor and co-producer of a weekly show in Phoenix, Arizona that aired on FOX. His love for classified ads was suppressed at times in his busy life but never went away. On his free time, he would teach himself how to build websites, dream up digital art and create exciting graphics. In November of 2002 he created Sell5.com and officially launched the site in Phoenix, Arizona on May 12th, 2003 starting with only one ad.
Today Sell5.com has hundreds of online classified ads with photos and thousands of members. Our goal was simple, we wanted to create a classifieds site that had clean, useful ads and was easy to use but without all the spam ads and scam emails.
Currently Aaron is back home in Eugene, Oregon where his visions of creating great classifieds all began and is expanding Sell5.com with his team of talented people.
